KoreKloud Terms of Service
1. About KoreKloud
KoreKloud is a learning platform available through web and mobile applications. Depending on your role and plan, KoreKloud lets users create courses and activities, upload learning materials, use AI-assisted OCR and content generation features, manage family or organization accounts, and review learner progress.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of KoreKloud and any related websites, applications, and services we make available (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
2. Eligibility and Managed Accounts
You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
If you are not legally able to accept these Terms on your own, a parent, guardian, school, employer, or other authorized adult or entity must accept them for you and supervise your use of the Services.
KoreKloud supports both directly owned accounts and managed accounts. For example:
- family accounts may create and manage member accounts;
- organization or platform administrators may create, manage, suspend, or remove accounts they administer; and
- if you use a managed account, the person or organization that manages that account may control access to the Services and certain settings, content, billing, or activity associated with that account.
If you create or use an account on behalf of another person or entity, you represent that you have authority to do so.
3. Registration and Security
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account or any managed account you control.
You must keep passwords, tokens, and other credentials confidential.
You may not share access in a way that bypasses account, role, subscription, or security controls.
We may require email verification, re-authentication, or additional confirmation before allowing access or sensitive account changes.
4. Acceptable Use
You may use the Services only in compliance with these Terms, our published policies, and applicable law. You may not:
- upload, submit, or share content you do not have the right to use;
- use the Services to infringe copyright, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other rights;
- upload malware, malicious files, or content intended to disrupt systems or harm others;
- interfere with, probe, reverse engineer, or bypass security, rate limits, or access restrictions;
- impersonate a person or organization, misrepresent affiliation, or create deceptive or abusive content;
- use the Services to harass, exploit, or endanger other people; or
- use AI features in a way that violates law, school rules, organizational policies, or KoreKloud's published policies.
5. Your Content
You retain whatever ownership rights you have in the content you upload, submit, or create through KoreKloud, including course materials, files, prompts, questions, submissions, and other user content.
To operate the Services, you grant KoreKloud a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, transmit, modify, analyze, OCR-process, transform, display, and otherwise use that content as needed to:
- provide requested features;
- generate AI-assisted outputs such as OCR text, questions, explanations, visuals, and related educational materials;
- maintain security, prevent abuse, and enforce our policies; and
- support backups, troubleshooting, and service operations.
You are responsible for making sure your content is lawful and that you have all rights, permissions, and consents needed to upload and use it in KoreKloud.
6. Shared Spaces and Managed Environments
Content you place in a course, family workspace, organization workspace, or other shared area may be accessible to the learners, instructors, family managers, administrators, or other participants who are authorized for that context.
If you share or allow others to share a course join code, invite link, or QR code, people who use that access path may be able to view limited course details needed to request or complete enrollment, such as the course title, subject, course status, and creator name.
If you use a managed account, your sponsoring family, organization, or administrator may manage your access and may be able to view or administer content and activity associated with that account as needed to operate that managed environment, enforce local rules, or provide support.
7. AI Features and Output
KoreKloud includes AI-assisted features that may process uploaded content or user input to perform OCR, generate questions, generate explanations, create visual aids, or provide other educational assistance.
AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, offensive, or non-unique. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated material before you rely on it, assign it, publish it, or share it with others.
You must not use AI-generated output as the sole basis for significant decisions about a person, including grading, advancement, discipline, admissions, or comparable high-impact educational decisions.
We may use automated systems to validate files, scan for harmful content, and enforce safety or policy restrictions before or after content is processed.
8. Uploads and File Processing
When you upload files, KoreKloud may validate file type and size, scan files for malicious content, store files and related metadata, run OCR or similar document-processing steps, and associate the resulting data with your courses, activities, or other workspaces.
We may reject, block, remove, or stop processing files that violate our policies, fail validation or security checks, or present safety, abuse, or legal concerns.
Additional rules for uploaded materials are described in our Copyright & Upload Policy and DMCA Notice & Takedown Policy.
9. Plans, Billing, and Credits
KoreKloud offers free and paid plans. Available plans may differ by role, including individual learner, family, instructor, and organization accounts.
Some accounts use shared billing or credit pools. For example, member accounts may use the family account's subscription or credits, and organization staff accounts may use credits managed through the organization account.
Paid subscriptions may renew on a recurring basis until canceled. Depending on the option presented at the time of cancellation, cancellation may take effect immediately or at the end of the current billing period. If payment fails or billing issues remain unresolved, we may limit, downgrade, or suspend paid features.
Some features use service credits. If offered:
- credits are not cash, are not transferable, and may be used only within KoreKloud;
- subscription credits do not roll over automatically between billing periods; and
- top-up credits do not expire and remain available until fully consumed, even if the related subscription is later cancelled or expires, and may still be subject to purchase or usage limits.
If refund rights apply, they will be governed by applicable law or any specific terms presented to you at purchase.
10. KoreKloud's Rights
KoreKloud and its licensors own the Services, including the software, design, branding, workflows, and related intellectual property, except for user content and third-party materials.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable right to use the Services for their intended educational and administrative purposes.
11. Privacy
Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and share information related to the Services.
12. Copyright, Reports, and Enforcement
We may investigate reports or detected violations involving copyright infringement, illegal content, harmful conduct, privacy violations, or misuse of the Services.
If we believe content or conduct violates these Terms or our policies, we may reject processing, remove content, restrict access, warn users, suspend or terminate accounts, or take other action we believe is appropriate. Repeated copyright or policy violations may result in permanent loss of access.
13. Suspension, Termination, and Changes to the Services
You may stop using KoreKloud at any time.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to all or part of the Services if:
- you violate these Terms or our policies;
- payment obligations are not met;
- we reasonably suspect fraud, abuse, security issues, or unlawful activity;
- we are required to do so by law or third-party obligations; or
- your use creates risk to KoreKloud, other users, or third parties.
We may update, modify, or discontinue features from time to time. We do not guarantee that any feature or portion of the Services will remain continuously available.
14. Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" to the maximum extent permitted by law. KoreKloud does not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for every educational use case.
KoreKloud is an educational support platform. We do not guarantee learning outcomes, grading outcomes, admissions outcomes, or any other academic or professional result.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, KoreKloud will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising out of or related to the Services.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, KoreKloud's aggregate liability for claims arising out of or relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of:
- the amount you paid KoreKloud for the Services that gave rise to the claim during the 12 months before the claim arose; or
- US$100.
16. Indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold KoreKloud and its affiliates, personnel, and service providers harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising out of or related to:
- your content;
- your use of the Services;
- your violation of these Terms or our policies; or
- your violation of another person's rights or applicable law.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the Services, by email, or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Services after the updated Terms take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
We may also require you to review and accept updated Terms or related policies through the Services before you continue using all or part of the Services.
